Refunds and cancellation
What happens to your money if you change your mind. Said here, before you pay, rather than discovered afterwards.
In effect from 24 August 2026. This page supersedes any earlier version.
The short version
An unspent credit can be refunded in full within 7 days of purchase, just by asking. A credit you have already spent on a paper cannot be refunded, because unlocking a paper hands over the questions and their worked solutions irreversibly. A payment that failed, was taken twice, or was never credited is refunded in full, always.
1. Sit the free paper first
The free diagnostic is a complete, timed, scored paper with the same interface, the same standard of question, the same worked explanations and the same topic-wise analysis as the paid papers. It exists so that you can decide whether this is worth paying for before you pay anything. We would rather you used it than asked for a refund later.
2. Unspent credits — refundable for 7 days
If you have bought credits and not yet spent them, write to admin@archgate.online within 7 days of the payment from the email address on your account, quoting the payment identifier from your receipt. We will refund the unspent credits in full to the original payment method.
If you bought a pack and have spent some of it, we refund the unspent credits at the same per-test rate you paid, and keep nothing back as a fee.
3. Spent credits — not refundable
Once a credit is spent on a paper, that paper — all of its questions, all of its worked explanations and all of its analysis — is available to you permanently, and cannot be un-delivered. For that reason a spent credit is not refundable, whether or not you go on to sit the paper, and whatever score you get. This is the “digital content supplied with your consent, delivered immediately” position, and it is the reason the free diagnostic exists.
This does not affect your rights where the service was defective — see Section 5.
4. Failed, duplicate and uncredited payments
- Money left your account but no credits appeared. Our payment records key on the gateway’s own order and payment identifiers, so a payment can always be traced. In most cases the credit lands automatically within a few minutes when the gateway retries. If it does not, write to us and we will either credit it or refund it.
- You were charged twice for the same purchase. The duplicate is refunded in full.
- The payment failed at the gateway. No credits are granted and no money is captured. Any amount your bank has placed on hold is released by the bank, usually within 5–7 working days.
5. If something is wrong with what you bought
If a paper you unlocked cannot be sat, is materially incomplete, or a technical failure of ours cost you an attempt, tell us. We will restore the attempt, return the credit, or refund the payment — whichever you prefer. A disagreement about a single answer key is not a defect; report it and we will check it, correct it if you are right, and your past results will re-score against the corrected key.
6. Cancelling your account
You can close your account at any time by writing to admin@archgate.online. Closing an account does not by itself trigger a refund; any unspent credits are refunded under Section 2 if you are still inside the 7-day window. There is no subscription and nothing recurring, so there is nothing to cancel to stop being charged — ARCH GATE charges only when you choose to buy credits.
7. How a refund is made
- Always to the original payment method. We cannot refund to a different card, account or UPI ID.
- Approved within 3 working days of your request, and processed to the gateway the same day.
- Money typically reaches your account 5–7 working days after that, depending on your bank.
- No processing fee is deducted.
8. If you are not satisfied
Write to admin@archgate.online. If our answer does not settle it, the escalation route is set out on the contact page, and your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 are unaffected by anything on this page.
